He blew up a whale and saved
The video was recorded in the Faroe Islands in the North Atlantic , when a man tried
open the animal with a sickle. But whale explodes suddenly throwing their bodies violently .
The specimen died of natural causes along with another of the same species , having been stranded in a narrow channel , and the Danish community residents wanted to use one of the skeletons for a museum.
Bjarni Mikkelsen , a marine biologist at the National Museum of the Faroe Islands had the unpleasant task of cutting open the body this November 26 for display at a museum, reported the Daily Mail
Never open a whale , so he approached the body cautiously. Shortly after the start , the pressure of the trapped gas threw tons of organs and viscera outside. The big bang just happened on the side .
" The animal had more than two days dead when we picked him up , so we knew we would have a little pressure on the inside ," Mikkelsen said, but did not imagine how much .
"We were cut along the dorsal part ( whale ) and the outbreak did a very controlled way," he said. "It was very strong , I guess. 's Something that everyone is talking about here ," he said .
The video of the event already has over 700,000 views on YouTube.
Despite the bloody incident , the locals are determined to put the skeleton in the museum as a reminder of their culture and are already busy cutting the remains of the animal. The whale meat will be discarded .
The inhabitants of the Faroe Islands have hunted whales for centuries, but rights groups cataloged animal practice cruel and unnecessary .
